Every bareLUXE product is linked to a specific environmental pledge to plant trees or clean up ocean plastic waste. We make this donation on your behalf when you buy our products.
After your purchase, you'll receive a link to your own personal dashboard to follow the pledge through its stages and you'll be able to watch the measurable impact tied to the purchase you made.
The organizations chosen by Verdn all provide clear, transparent, and measurable outcomes. They work with and support local communities and hire local workers at appropriate wages. Two of these organizations are Empower AS and Eden Reforestation Projects.
1% for the Planet is a global organization that exists to ensure our planet and future generations thrive. They inspire businesses and individuals to support environmental nonprofits through membership and everyday actions. They make environmental giving easy and effective through partnership advising, impact storytelling and third-party certification.
1% for the Planet works to prevent greenwashing, certify reputable giving and provide accountability for environmental giving. At the end of each year, bareLUXE Skincare goes through the process of certification to prove that a minimum of 1% of our sales - not profits - has been given to valid environmental organizations. If for some reason we fall short, we fix it!
1% for the Planet forges powerful partnerships between businesses, individuals and environmental nonprofits to ensure the most impact possible.
We recognize that there is some controversy surrounding the purchasing of carbon credits. However, online businesses require products to be shipped - not just to consumers, but also back and forth to warehouses and manufacturing centers. Until electric vehicles are standard, and zero emissions aircrafts are invented, there needs to be a happy medium.
